Established in 1853 and operated by the same family since then, La Grande Ruota is situated near Brescia in the Lombardy region of northern Italy. The site itself has an even lengthier history with the first traces of the mill dating back to 1434 as cited in a document from the State Archive of Brescia.
La Grande Ruota's highly experienced agronomists select corn from the best farming land in the Po Valley which is rich in springs and rivers. To uphold the quality of these 100% Italian products, drying, storage and processing are then all carefully managed steps within La Grande’s own facilities.
The organic lines are produced from corn grown using farming methods that are free from chemical fertilisers, weed-killers or anti-parasite agents and are constantly monitored by the appointed organic bodies.
The mill processes only corn products which are naturally gluten free.
